Lanesboro Rose reaches final in Rose of Tralee

Lanesboro is in the news ….Caroline Doyle has reached the final of the Rose of Tralee and will appear on stage Tuesday night 23rd August 2016 in the Dome. Lanesboro are proud of Caroline and this fantastic achievement. She qualifies as only 1 of 32 Roses that will be live on RTE.

World Fishing Championships Comes to Lanesborough October 5th-10th

The world’s top anglers are coming to Lanesborough and Ballyleague to compete in the 2016 Predator Boat Championships from October 5th to October 10th.
Fishermen and women from 15 countries will be here for 5 nights to fish for pike and perch on Lough Ree.
The event will bring 250 people to the area and is supported by Longford County Council, Roscommon County Council and Failte Ireland.
If you have a lake boat with an engine of over 10HP we would like to hire it for the event
