Two Provinces Triathlon

Considered to be the most exciting new sprint race on the race calendar, last year hosted by a Triathlon Club barely a year in existence, the Two Provinces Sprint Triathlon has already had a strong influx of registrations for this year’s race.

Audi Athlone at Michael Moore Car Sales have recognised the potential of this event to promote the Vorsprung Durch Technik popular brand and have come on board as Sponsors of this year’s Triathlon.

The race is being held in the picturesque towns of Lanesboro and Ballyleague on the banks of the River Shannon on Saturday 14th of July where the communities of both sides of the bridge look forward to welcoming athletes and their families to area.

The Sprint Triathlon will consist of a 750 metre swim down river , a fast out and back 20 K cycle and a beautiful scenic 5K run on the banks of the Shannon and into Lanesboro to finish. The organisers pride themselves on the precise accuracy of their race and this was highly commented on last year.

Many of the athletes that raced last year have already committed to return to Lanesboro to race because they were looked after so well and competitors can be sure that Lanesboro hospitality will be in abundance again and a fantastic time is guaranteed for all that attend.
